Meet The Team

Founder & CEO
Maureen Hammond
Originally from the West Coast, Maureen Hammond has always felt most at home outdoors. Whether boating with her family, picking tulips from her Grammy’s garden, or exploring the woods near home, she was drawn early on to the rhythms of the natural world. Her family’s gardens were ever-present, but it wasn’t until after completing culinary school that she discovered her own deep passion for plants—and from that moment, the path toward garden design took root.
Today, Maureen channels her creative eye and love of nature into every project she designs. Her work celebrates native plants, thoughtful layering, and the artistry of sustainable landscaping. Through Plant Lane Farm, she continues to merge fine design with environmental responsibility, creating gardens that inspire connection, creativity, and care for the land.

Nursery Manager
Meg McLeod
Meg brings a lifelong love of nature, learning, and creativity to her work at Plant Lane Farm. With a background that weaves together science, education, and a deep appreciation for the natural world, she finds joy in nurturing both plants and people. Her approach to horticulture blends curiosity with care—honoring the beauty of native and woodland species while helping customers find plants that feel at home in their own gardens.
Outside the nursery, Meg enjoys being outdoors, working in her own gardens, writing, and tabletop gaming with friends and her kids. She finds inspiration in the changing seasons.

Garden Grandmaster
Jenn Sanford
Jenn brings her love of plants and more than 15 years of experience in the sustainable agriculture industry to her work with Plant Lane Farm. As the owner and operator of Chickadee Farms, she supplied her community with organically grown vegetables, herbs, and flowers for many years. Now, as a farmer working in landscaping, she is proud to share her knowledge of plants in a new way while continuing to grow cut flowers on her farm. In her free time, Jenn enjoys raising her teenager, spending time with her dog, cats, and chickens, and finding opportunities to cook and connect with friends over good food and laughter.
